Solar Panels

The sun is a great supply of energy just waiting for us to use. The best part is that it is free. One way you can take advantage of this free energy source is by putting Solar Panels on your roof. Solar Panels are used to convert the sun’s energy so it can be used in your home, office or commercial building. In an area such as Central Victoria, where there is an abundance of sunlight, the uptake of Solar Energy is steadily increasing.

How do Solar Panels Work?

Solar Panels are made of individual cells which are composed of layers of chemicals which have positive and negative charges. The Solar Panels absorb the suns photons which initiates an electric current. This causes a reaction and pulls electrons into direct current. This is known as the photovoltaic (PV) effect. The Solar array (or many Solar Panels strung together) send direct current (DC) to the Solar inverter. The inverter converts the electricity into alternating current (AC). This current can be used for household appliances, to charge batteries or be sent into the electricity grid where you will receive credits.

Solar Panels for your home, business, and commercial property

The average house has the space on its roof to hold enough panels to produce the electricity needed to power the entire house. Any excess electricity can go back into the grid (making you money) or into batteries to continue powering your house when the sun goes down.

If your business property is larger, it may have the space for enough panels to power your whole building. Tax deductions apply or you may qualify for a free system under a Price Power Agreement (PPA).
